life is a shrouded cloud of mystery and change.

Lately things have felt uncertain but over the course of three weeks things have fallen into some form of "place". I was recently asked this question: "what do you think of when you hear the words past, present, and future?" The question was meant to be in reference of my own life; it's funny how this question evaluated my whole life at the moment. When i hear past, i think of experiences with friends, infinite possibility, beloved memories, happiness. In terms of the present: preparing for the future, thinking ahead. As for the future: uncertain, inevitable, somewhat intimidating. What this question brings to light is the fact that not only myself but most individuals hardly ever cherish the present because they're either living for the future or trying to recreate the past. What of the present, is it of any significance? the answer is: YES. It's somewhat tragic that the present is never of any relevance until it becomes the past. Our civilization mediates strategic preparedness for this "future", but never to enjoy the current...to appreciate the day in front of you. Forgive me if i sound redundant, but I'm trying something new in my life: I'm enjoying the now for a change. As cliche as it sounds we never know if we'll live to see another day and the future is not always guaranteed; that being said enjoy the present, enjoy the now.

Farewell McQueen

It feels so weird reading of McQueen's death, he was a visionary. His career was booming and everything seemed to be going well for him, set aside the death of his beloved mother. Unfortunately he has passed on at the hand of himself, but nevertheless his work speaks for itself. Destined to be a great and classic farewell McQueen you will always remain in my pool of inspirations. My condolences to the McQueen family and his friends.

I found these images highly inspirational and eye captivating at that. A few models from the all black issue of Italian Vogue; it's an older issue but one that continues to stick out in my mind for personal reasons. In America it is black history month, although nowadays its skimmed over, and it is a time of reflection and enlightenment of black culture. Roughly about 25-30yrs ago it was rare to see a black face let alone any other race besides white on the face on a high fashion magazine. This event is still rare but is luckily better than before, so thank you Italian Vogue for breaking racial barriers♥

au revoir seventeen:

in this year you've taught me strife, grief, detachment, frivolity, coldness, caprice, and consequence.

I'd say you allowed me to peer into a different realm of myself that I never knew existed nor want to

revisit. My adolence has been nothing less than experiential, debauched with unprecedented fun, and

now I enter a new chapter of my life.I'm ready to embrace positivity and face unconventionality with

a leveled head. The learning experience is, as always, the hardest part.

Now here comes real living...

nostalgia.

if only i could some how stop running in all directions and find my true destination. As fickle as it may seem, I can't find what is what anymore. Nostalgia, the mental curse, if only I could forget...everything. I find myself diving into old memories, losing sleep as my mind races, I yearn for what it is I chose to abandon. It's like all that I do just reminds me of what I let go. I'm no manic depressive by no means, but sometimes memories stay embedded...deep. I see why some people resort to substance abuse just to forget, as a means of coping with the intangible elations of thought. I often entertain the thought of solipsism quite frequently, what if I could control all of this? To master one's mind is ultimate wisdom, to learn to channel heightened emotions. I'll get by eventually, it's just really funny how the past always seems to creep up and tear a new wound. I don't know whether to confront this dilemma or simply walk away from it. ha, suppressed thoughts are a bitch on the weekends.

"what is any life without the pursuit of a dream?" this film evokes the power of the subconscious mind in such fine emporiums of bewilderment. questioning reality, opening your eyes, entertain the thought of solipsism, ontology, and metaphysics for a change.

being a fan of psychological thrillers this is an all time fav, hands down.
